The 2024 Lavaman Waikoloa: DISTANCES & RACE DESCRIPTION: Olympic Distance (1.5K Swim, 40K Bike and 10K Run) Swim at Anaehoomalu Bay at the Waikoloa Beach Resort. The Bike ride is out and back on the Queen Ka`ahumanu Hwy. then back into the resort. T1 & T2 are in the same location. The run is through the Waikoloa Beach Resort & the grounds of the Hilton Waikoloa Village and has varied terrain consisting of lava, sand, coral trail, road, lawn, & flagstone path with a beach finish. Trail shoes are recommended over racing flats. New this year a duathlon which starts with an out and back 3K from the transition and then the same Lavaman bike and run course. AMENITIES: Voted: "Best Awards Party in Triathlon" ~ Beer Garden, Live Music, Beach BBQ under the coconut grove at beautiful Anaeho'omalu Bay. Shirts & medals for all finishers.
